Bridgerton is a show full of romance, drama and scandals. This period drama has it all, have you ever watched a series that has stayed with you weeks after watching it? Bridgerton is exactly that. Bridgerton is an 8-part book series which has been formed into an addictive 1 season drama, we can only hope there will be more seasons to come! Phoebe Dynevour who plays Daphne Bridgerton is 21, Daphne is pushed into British society to find a wealthy husband, and she does that by finding Simon. This show represents diversity, I was thrilled to see different races in such an important historical drama. This series follows around a mysterious “Lady Whistledown” who writes about all the scandals amongst the wealthy families; her identity remains anonymous until the last episode. The scripts are beautifully written, one of my favourite quotes from the series it- “just because something is not perfect does not make it any less worthy of love”. I love how the lead of the show is a woman, this is empowering as most series all main characters are men.
