It's a mystery thriller. Do patti tackles the sensitive subject of domestic violence but falls short in its execution. The film attempts to shed light on a crucial issue, yet its treatment lacks depth and nuance. Characters often come across as one-dimensional, failing to evoke genuine empathy or connection. The dialogue feels forced, and the pacing undermines the gravity of the topic. Rather than delivering a powerful message, the film's presentation feels superficial and lacks conviction. While the intentions may be commendable, the overall impact is diluted, leaving viewers wanting a more authentic and compelling exploration of such a critical issue. Kriti gave sincere performance in double role. Kajol played the desi cop in superficial way. Shaheer Sheikh tried his best but letdown by the script. The movie with so much potential remains average.

Today my fav kdrama since last month come to an end 'Romance in the house' It's a light-hearted, rom-com, family drama. It's about family reunion and second chances. Don't get fool with English title. Here romance meant to be love between family. Well, main story is about older couple who got divorced due to circumstances, later how they get back together but younger couple also has it's own slow-steady journey towards romance. We can see many relationship dynamics between Father-daughter, Mother-daughter, father-son, friends, colleagues, neighbours, siblings n lovers. Other side characters also has their own story which is good. Characters developed with each passing episode. Few serious scenes turned into hilarious in no time. Drama has some melodious OSTs. In the end, characters choose modern approach towards life, parents supporting children in what they want to do in life, deciding not to get married, staying single n enjoying life for ourselves etc. Many viewers has complaint with NaEun and her character MiRae but as per my POV her acting n character developed in each passing episode. I found my new Oppa, my new source of pleasure Choi MinHo aka TaePyeong. He get to play various shades of TaePyeong compared to his previous acting gigs. Very endearing to watch on screen, looking forward to his next work/ drama. Considering both NaEun n MinHo are idols turned into Actors, I gave them fair chance. They done pretty good job, yes there's always a scope for improvement. I'll miss my Tae-Mi for sure. I expected to see something more for Tae-Mi in last episode nevertheless drama has happy ending.

It's a thriller drama. Initially in 1st act many faulty, disoriented things happen, viewers get confused. Writers jumps through timelines often. Director's favourite thing (I heard) showing uncertainty of life, e.g. snake suddenly appears, uncontrolled truck kills family etc are used to connect plot points. Lots of violence specially violence against women used to show how bad the antagonist is. Atrocity by police is always used in Tamil movies which is problematic. In 3rd act, sudden turn of events, turns the story dramatically and shows it's just a revenge drama. This might be new to Indian audience but not to seasoned world cinema viewer, specially such turn of events happen in korean movies and dramas, so not a new thing. Still engaging screenplay & Vijay Sethupathi are the saving grace. This is Vijay's 50th movie.

The title of the film and what we assume through it, is totally different than what it actually is. There is no monster in this movie. However screenplay makes the movie a suspense drama. Film explores the complexity of how simple words and actions affect people in unexpected ways. How we perceive people, situation & context, which makes us think otherwise. It is a complex character study of different people. First act is from a mother's POV, 2ND act is from teacher's POV, And 3rd act is from children's POV. Each POV gives different perspective n meaning to story, why things happens the way they are. Performances are natural, filming and atmosphere & narrative is such affective that stays with you for long time after watching.

It's a british drama set in 80s New York, where a father broken-down and briefing after his son goes missing, & the father started seeing his puppet Eric. Drama addresses many social issues like mental illness, addiction, gay discrimination, AIDS neglect, pedosexuality, institutional racism, parental neglect and abuse, homelessness, corruption. Makers tried to incorporate above all into the story as subplots, that's why the storytelling becomes messy. Sometimes it felt dragged. Benedict's performance is 1st rate as always. Drama could have been shorter.

It's a monster sci-fi action thriller. We have seen many versions of this classic. This is the latest installment Set after World War II, when Japan is barely recovering, a gigantic monster emerges with power of atomic bomb. Japanese film makers give human touch to the story, you care for characters. They also do no hesitate to show incompetence of imperial japanese authority & their shortcomings, Also touch the subjects of post war trama, their sufferings n struggles. Special effects are not good in some portions otherwise very good (they also received Oscar for that btw), sound editing n design are also good. Good performances. Predictable yet a good watch.

Well, well, finally I watched this epic, most talked, academy award winning movie from last year. This is biographical, thriller film  written, directed, and produced by Christopher Nolan.  It follows the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist who helped develop the first nuclear weapons of mass destruction during World War II. Based on the 2005 biography American Prometheus. This movie is intense, cerebral and exhausting, it requires your full attention, you need to watch it with all your braincells, if you miss a dialogue or a fraction of a scene, you'll miss out something important, it has that much detailing. All actors performed well, Cillian Murphy nailed the role, perfect casting, apt sets designing, costume design, hair-make up, Screenplay is intricately designed, goes back and forth in time, no need to mention Nolan's work, he is amazing as always. Sound design is amazing bit loud though. A must watch for history lovers.

It's a romantic drama film which is a remake of a korean film. Story isn't innovative, but performances, setting, screenplay, fitting music and bgm makes it a good watch. I was never expected to shed so many tears while watching it. I'm impressed by the acting especially Roy Chiu. His sincere portrayal of his character makes viewers sympathetic towards him. What a performance. Famale lead Tiffany supported well. Director successfully managed to make you emotional. Available on Netflix

Based on James Clavell's 1975 novel, this historical fictional series is set in 1600's Japan where lords are fighting for their powers. Main storyline is very similar to GOT but set in Asian country and viewers watch the story in white pilots POV. I haven't read the book but premise n setting are interesting, stunningly picturised, filmed, amazing sets n costumes, However, after the first 3 episodes it really started dragging itself along at an extremely boring pace. Lots of drama for basically no reason, not much progression and NO BATTLES after hyping up to a war for several episodes, Action scenes are very few, Unclear Japanese customes n traditions, unnecessary slow conversations between characters which makes it boring n clumsy narration makes hard to comprehend, weakest link is lead actor Cosmo Jarvis who played Anjin-sama like childish, Other performed well, specially liked Anna Sawai's Mariko-sama. Potential to be a good series but I'm bit disappointed at the end. 2.5⭐
