Really enjoyed the film's topic and the realistic way it is approached, but at times it seems a bit slow. Overall, a thought provoking and interesting film.

I couldn't stop reading. The language is vibrant, real and impressive. Hard to believe that there are families who still lead the life described in this book in the USA well into the 21st century. I was mesmerized at all the abused she had to withstand, but in the end she is still sane to tell her story I'm sure that losing her family was not easy. She did the right thing.
