There are few things I love more than reading about two adversaries forced to become allies for some higher goal. Featuring a freaking pirate heroine, a curse, several impossible tasks with underlying Arabic mythology, and an assassin who wants to kill her. " We'd traveled halfway around the world to get to him, and monsters were chasing us, and Naji's curse was impossible to break, and here he was cracking jokes about our professions.” Great characters, decent action-pace, and the world seemed interesting. I just wanted to learn more about it to be more fully developed. Expectations for book two rising. Highly Recommend checking out.

Overall, I love this book because of the unique characters and how the dragon's element was developed uniquely. Shapeshifting, dragon empire, heroine learning powers, plots of overthrowing tyrannical kings, and did I mention dragons? Both Ryn and the world are developed in this book, so we get to learn more about Drae and Phaeton! We finally venture outside the castle to see the other kingdoms and cultures. If you like dragons, then you should read this series, starting with the second! Ryn's dialogue was just hilarious to read and brought a comedic element to otherwise dangerous threatening situations as she visits other kingdoms to rally the troops! Her point of view is purposefully sarcastic and dramatic because it's her coping mechanism to deal with the storm that is her life. The best part of this book was the group dynamics by far. Honestly, this group Dyter, Tyrikk, and Ryn were hilarious to read, as they had to reluctantly work with each other to fight the invading emperor, reestablish their kingdom, heal the land and figure out where the Drae and Phaetyn had been hiding. And try not to kill each other in the process.

Wounded, our heroine Kira has separated herself from the humans to rebuild her life. Just to get sucked right back into the thick of things. To the human world, she’s a traitor. To the alien world, she a baby barbarian. But Kira is cunning, trained, and ready to take action whether it's with her tricky words or just stab you. Jin is my new favorite robot, I mean AI drone. He is Kira’s only friend as they have been surviving on their own and secretly planning. The plot of Kira’s past starting to come to light reveals info about her abilities, our enemies, and the war that might not be quite as finished as everyone thinks. She is determined to keep her secrets buried but our love interest won’t stop digging. I recommend checking out this series featuring the snarky heroine constantly underestimated, her sassy AI friend, the plot twists, finding out Kira’s past, and how it's affecting the future of the universe! I am not a big sci-fi fan but I read this purely for my girl TA White, and did she come through!

I loved this book's concept. Hot romance, Greek mythology, magic, adventure, gods, and monsters! Cat is hiding from her past which includes murderous family until she crosses paths with a stubborn warlord who just conquered a kingdom and then abducts her. Meet our two characters from different countries, with different cultures, histories, and beliefs. Griffen wants to help his family's rule by getting mages to help him and Cat's known powers as a Kingmaker are very useful to him. But not all is what it seems in this chaotic world. Mercenaries and monsters begin to ruthlessly hunt them. I loved this world created in ancient Greece but with an added touch of tribes and traditions, power-hungry monarchs, and divided kingdoms. I was inhaling every page and event and it took all my willpower to put it down and return to stupid real life. Beta Team was Squad Goals with Griffen, Kato, Flynn, Carver, then later Cat. The bickering, the affection, the bantering was just amazing. This was just an epic journey that you just had to be a part of! What was amazing was how each character started with unique cool perspectives but you also begin to see changes in them over the journey and how they bond.

Overall, wow! This was a fun romance novel that featured hilarious character dynamics with the sarcastic banter of a closeted gay and an oblivious bisexual with savage remarks and perfect one-liners as they both mocked each other for the very things they love about each other. Alex Claremont-Diaz the bilingual biracial First Son of the US and Prince Henry. This is a story for hopeless romantics who wish the world could be like this. And honestly, it was a cathartic escape after the traumatizing of previous administrations. Just a fun sappy romance with extreme circumstances and my favorite enemy-lovers trope for LGBT+ is amazing to just enjoy.

Meet Willa Knight. The quirky, ultra-clumsy, sassy heroine you haven't read yet. It was only a childish prank to graduate. She didn't realize it would send her off to Blessmont, the legendary institution for the Gods and people with magical abilities. People are chosen for their grace, elegance, intelligence- Everything that Willa's tendency for disaster overshadows. Once sent to the academy, you either serve or get sacrificed. No joke. If she angers someone off then she will die. All the brothers possess unique personalities that differed from them but all in all: they are arrogant rebellious souls who don't care about the rules. Aros the golden boy, Rome the protective giant, Siret the trickster, Yael the flirty boy, and Coen the quiet snarky mobster. At times the plot seemed like random situations that Willa fell into and the guys laughed& ran after her for pure entertainment. However, I began to see that the guys were part of a bigger adventure that I hope we'll find out more about in book 2 how Willa fits into all of it. I loved these guys- they were interesting characters with backstories and schemes that differed from each other with their brand of humor and abilities. Recommend it if you enjoy mythology books and reverse harems.

At the very beginning, this book had me hooked. The mystery of the game, the man, the myth, the legend behind it. A mysterious sailor, the crazy sister who wanted more from life, and the quiet heroine who wanted her own life. This book's concept was so unique that I couldn't help but be enthralled. The myths and legends behind Master Legend. We share Scarlett's confusion on what all this world means and what are the rules and where to go. To be honest a part of myself wished she had been more of a ruthless vicious character ( like her sister Tella) to truly get everything. But I guess Scarlett was how any one of us would react in that situation, being scared, angry, and confused. Overall, I enjoyed the book's concept while I found myself at times annoyed with the passive practicality of our main character that I am excited for book two that takes Tella's perspective.

I love this book specifically for its perspectives. We have the village idiot and the spoiled princess. Except that is just the surface. There is much more to these characters and I adored how their stereotypes were ripped to shreds. Both have their own stories that merge a couple of times but we are constantly wondering what is the connection between these extremely different characters? Han use to be a street lord that stole but tried to do better for his family. He has been accused of several murders and must go on the run. Raisa, the princess who would rather be a warrior. She knows she is naive on the ongoings of her kingdom but she wants to know more, to do more. And I loved that about her But don't worry it is not all epic political maneuvers, personal vendettas, and powerful magic hidden within amulets. There's also a really cute love interest soldier guy that just wants to do his part in the world but can't control his feelings for the one he must protect. Overall, this was a mysterious world of clans, high lords, and several conflicting stories about the old powerful Demon King. Recommend checking out.

First things first, do not let this cover mislead you! It is better than that. This is an actual world-building and character-developing novel that I love. Kham was such a strong heroine. Abused by her father, she would rather die in the mountains than give in to that punk. She was a survivor thrown into a whole new society she knew nothing about and was a natural enemy with. And the plot? There are all kinds of backstabbing, evil cunning plots, beasts trying to kill peeps, near-death experiences, a quest to get the magical sword, defeat everyone, and sexy times! Now our love interest is Wynter, King of Wintercraig. The king is already a legend among his people but all magic has a cost. I just love the balance in their relationship, Wynter knows she is powerful and thinks it is freaking awesome. But also cares for her and helps her when she uses up all her power. She isn’t some dainty flower and he just loves every part of her. The world-building was pretty well done and developed to make the danger of the plot even better. New creatures, freaking weather patterns, and local customs. I loved walking around the villages, sneaking in the castles, and discovering new places with Kham. “She was a daughter of the Sun, capable of warmth, but just as capable of fire and lethal volatility.” Overall, read the book. Just read the book.

I exhale. “You’re finally here to collect.” The Bargainer aka Des is a legend within the supernatural world. Speak his name and you can bargain for what you want most in the world. But the bill must be paid. Something I absolutely adored about this book, there was such a strong sense of time passing and this made the world-building stronger. We knew exactly what time frame we were in, what events to focus on and it all worked to really develop the book world! Witnessing the past Callie first learning about Des's world and then present Callie mastering the rules to play her own game. They went from indifferent strangers to tentative friends to best friends, to distant enemies to friends to lovers. You read about the present with flashbacks into the past just waiting and hoping to figure out what changed? The danger is going down in the Otherworld and Des needs Callie‘s help to figure it out. Woman disappearing. Demon children. A whispering shadow. Calls himself the Thief of Souls. Overall, amazing character development with interesting dynamics among our group of power-hungry monsters with an intense plot to go with it. Highly recommend checking it out!
