Genuinely a bad movie, horrible acting, the pacing the all over the place, the plot felt non-existent, so many pivotal characters just killed off screen, so many lazy plot decisions. The people in this movie acted without any common sense, basic decision making skills, and any sense of urgency. 80% pointless dialogue, 15% gorefest, 5% relevant dialogue. And for some reason a lot of the screen time that had Art on it, they had him play a back seat to Victoria. *Spoilers* Whole introduction of the movie was pointless, killed off a random family that was never seen or heard about again through the rest of the movie. To then have a time skip backwards where Victoria slits her wrist in a bathtub and Art sits and rocks in a chair on screen for a minute straight just for the time to jump back 5 years forward, and Art is covered in cobwebs still motionless in the chair, and Victoria is just laying motionless in the tub. So they sat motionless for five years and that was never explained. We then finally get to see how Art gets his Santa outfit, which was probably one of the only scenes worth watching, still was kind of dumb from a human decision making standpoint. Art then goes to a mall as Santa, starts handing out toys to children who were eager to see him as Santa; despite his hands covered and clothes being stained with blood and the fact his face is the same as usual. And instead of the children not even noticing either of these things they’re just blinded by stuffed animals and dolls (are you serious?🤦🏻‍♂️) He then kills several people at the mall in the open with an explosion, escapes off screen, and we then watch everyone treat Sienna like she’s crazy for saying she saw Art at the mall even with the TV talking about the mass murder that just happened at the mall. Then rest of movie till last act is about Sienna’s little brother, his roommate, an insensitive groupee who has no common sense and of course hosts a true crime podcast who is obsessed with Sienna’s case. As well as Gabby’s weird unnatural obsession with Sienna’s diary, mental illness, and scars? And at the end of it all you get a big fat nothing burger, uninspired fight scene, completely predictable ending, Jessica is killed by rats and blood-loss from a slit throat while Sienna watches and just does nothing but scream and whimper for 10 minutes straight, Gabby winds up in hell because she stared at the floor and watched it melt under her for a solid 2-3 minutes whimpering on screen, Art ends up getting away again… Victoria dies??? (The demon that was inside her probably will go after Gabby in hell in the next movie Zzzz…) Sienna is last seen sitting on her knees on the floor just panting and staring at her hands and the window Art escaped through. And everyone else pretty much is killed off screen with an appendage that was brought to the final stage of the movie being the point of their wasted time being developed as characters. Up there with Joker 2 for worst movie of this year. Was completely exhausted and frustrated by the end of this, would not and will not ever recommend this to anyone. This movie and Halloween Ends are currently fighting to be the worst horror/slasher I’ve ever seen.

One of the best movies I’ve seen in a decade or two. Watch this movie, period.

Terrible plot, lazy writing, terrible decision making/plot devices, very bland and forgettable in every way other than it being infuriating to watch. Save your money, the movie industry in 2024 is lazy rehashes of old but gold movies.

Dragged out plot line, next to no horror, ending was extremely anti-climactic and solved next to nothing. All people who were supposed to be good, turned out to be bad, even though it made next to no sense to even pretend to be good in the first place. The antagonist’s could’ve just locked her in a room and tied her to a bed just like they had done to the other girl countless other times. I get that it’s a movie, so it needs plot, but the plot has to feel meaningful. Just another movie pushed out to sell sequels, but honestly this movie was such a dud, I don’t see it getting any.

Awful, literally one of the worst things I’ve ever had the displeasure of wasting time to watch.
