After reading many dark reviews of the show prior to it being released I’ll admit that my expectations were tainted. Whilst watching I felt myself on edge awaiting for it to fulfil these negative opinions, it didn’t happen.
Yes, the show has many differences from the books and I understand that this will be a dislike for fans. I felt the same when Tom Bombadil was missed out of The Fellowship of the Ring but it didn’t stop me watching and I’m quite sure any disappointed book fans will be the same with The Wheel of Time.
My advice to any fans new and old… Channel in, embrace it and enjoy the ride
