Well written, well acted, with a great cast . not to mention fine cinematography . i'm not sure what more that you could ask from a film . I found it mesmerizing, with a touch of foreboding . it has a sinister ambience to it . I usually like to watch a film that I like very much 2 or 3 times, and I do like this movie very very much, but I found the ending just so disturbing, that I don't think that I will see this one again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, because I thought that it was simple fun . nothing was too serious . I suspect that the writer may have been experimenting with hallucinogens when they wrote this . we have a non frightening alien abduction, weird androids chasing teens around the world for some unknown reason, and men in black stumbling around like an old Charlie Chaplin film . the aliens looked pretty cool and seemed very chill, albeit, a bit confused, as they traveled a zillion light years from home to ask the earthlings one simple question . I won't say what it is in case anyone wants to find out for themselves, except to say that it's a bit juvenile and darn silly, but like I said, this was a fun movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film . a lot of action above and below decks . I worked on a ship for years, and the guys below in the engine room, are the ones that I would go to if help was needed . glad that they chose one of them to be the hero of this film . the special effects are real effects here, as they actually used a real ship that was set to be scrapped, and sunk it while filming . after they were done with the film, they raised the ship, and towed it to the scrap yard to be cut up . anyway, any movie filmed at sea is ok with me . good acting and script . a bit sad to see any ship go down, but everything has it's time to go I suppose.

One of the most realistic war films that i've seen, with the way that they portray how the soldiers act . not your run of the mill, gun ho, charge the line, movie . all of my uncles where in World War two, some in the Pacific theater (Guadalcanal) and some in France & Belgium . when we used to have family gatherings and they would drink, later that night I would hear the stories, and it was then that I stopped wondering why I never saw any them smile . anyway great cast, well done.

I absolutely loved the first Jurassic Park film, but they have been getting exponentially worse with every new film that comes out . this latest version is total garbage.

Accuracy of bombing during World War Two was abysmal, and many times were lucky to hit the target at all . that's why they usually sent so many planes to bomb a single target . this film shows the hazards of trying to bomb a single target inside of a large city . this is a gut wrenching film, that I found difficult to watch . perhaps it's because I have been in some difficult situations myself . the acting was superb by both adults and children . writing, production, and direction were outstanding as well. some parts of the film took license with historical accuracy, but all on all a really good film.

A very disturbing and thought provoking film, that held my interest to the end . i've been thinking along the lines of what happened in this lately . I keep reading about all of these very wealthy and powerful people who are building bomb shelters, and I wonder if they know something . who knows, we do seem to be on the eve of destruction as a species.

I really wanted to like this series, but it fails miserably . 85% of the content is just filler, packed full of fake drama . the minutes involving the actual Manhattan Project are so fleeting that if you close your eyes you may miss them . sadly, this is mostly just a soap opera, which should have been a miniseries, with 3 or 4 episodes of real content, or better yet, a movie . all in all, just a total a waste of time.

I was really looking forward to seeing, what could have been a great film, except that for the fact that the movie kept getting interrupted by some wacky off-Broadway musical chairs routine . how that happens is beyond me . what a shame, as this is a great story, about an important historical event . excellent acting and script, but the director must have been deranged indeed . by the end of the film, I had to mute the sound and sat there fuming, because I wasted my time on this.

Having spent 8 years at St. Agnes Parish in south Chicago, I simply had to watch this film . that and the fact that I will watch anything that includes Philip Seymour Hoffman . Amy Adams and Meryl Streep were outstanding, but wouldn't expect anything less . the scene with Viola Davis brought me to tears . it was so moving and real . on a side note, I would just like to add that our nuns were strict, and there was minimal corporal punishment, with a ruler or paddle, but they were never mean or cruel . they believed in discipline, that's all . I was an altar boy . we had 3 priests and a Monseigneur . I liked and respected every one of them, and missed them deeply when I left . students always came back to visit after awhile, that's how close the bond was between priests, and nuns, and students . anyway, I loved this film.
