I love films like this . a science fiction movie that's interesting, imaginative, and entertaining . I would rather that it wasn't dubbed but it wasn't done bad so I kept watching, and I absolutely loved it, quirky characters and all . I seem to keep stumbling into horror films masquerading as sci-fi, but this is not that at all . just an interesting film that leaves you feeling good.

I've seen this film 3 times and I will definitely watch it again . it's simply wonderful in so many ways . after viewing I always feel so happy . so basic and bare bones but at the same time really well done . the fact that i'm old and getting rather severe memory problems and that I never talk to my daughter has nothing to do with it . it's just an outstanding movie.

I love this film so much . great casting for one thing . everyone was perfect . I worked in the North Sea in my youth and this triggered good memories . the film is sweet, adventurous, and interesting . Sean Penn was such a good call . it brought the film up a notch for me . of course the romance between the two main characters made my heart swell L♡ve

This series has been mistakenly named Das Boot . someone needs to adjust the title to The French Resistance . i'm sure that there is a mention of a submarine somewhere in the series, but they were so few that I must have dozed off and missed them . also, the writing was weak . so much fake drama as filler . i've seen Das Boot, the film several times and I will watch it again . I absolutely love that film, especially the version that is 4 hours and 53 minutes long . it's a masterpiece . I think that they have some nerve calling this by the same name.

I really wanted to like this film as I love most any sci-fi movie, but this one wasn't really to my taste . I thought that the script was bad . the actors were fine, but they just didn't have much to work with .

If you're looking for a realistic portrayal of the American west then don't look here . The first episode was actually pretty good, but after that, each episode was more ridiculous than the last . I was really hoping that this would be good, as I love historical dramas that are well done . in my younger years I read incessantly about the wave of people moving out across the American west, and the problems that they ran into when they discovered that the land was already populated . many were searching for different things, but all were searching for a new life.. i've read every book about mountain men that I could find. I would spend time in the Rockies trying to emulate them . but I digress . as for the series, sadly the writing is woeful . some of the acting wasn't too bad, but I truly cannot understand what the writers were thinking while watching this.. The scenery is absolutely outstanding, but that's just not enough to have to sit through this . someday it is my hope that great writing, acting and directing will all come together to create a masterpiece of this time and place in America . the closet that i've come is probably the 2005 film, The Revenant, based on the book about Hugh Glass, American frontiersman, fur trapper, trader, hunter and explorer.

Well written, well acted, with a great cast . not to mention fine cinematography . i'm not sure what more that you could ask from a film . I found it mesmerizing, with a touch of foreboding . it has a sinister ambience to it . I usually like to watch a film that I like very much 2 or 3 times, and I do like this movie very very much, but I found the ending just so disturbing, that I don't think that I will see this one again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, because I thought that it was simple fun . nothing was too serious . I suspect that the writer may have been experimenting with hallucinogens when they wrote this . we have a non frightening alien abduction, weird androids chasing teens around the world for some unknown reason, and men in black stumbling around like an old Charlie Chaplin film . the aliens looked pretty cool and seemed very chill, albeit, a bit confused, as they traveled a zillion light years from home to ask the earthlings one simple question . I won't say what it is in case anyone wants to find out for themselves, except to say that it's a bit juvenile and darn silly, but like I said, this was a fun movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film . a lot of action above and below decks . I worked on a ship for years, and the guys below in the engine room, are the ones that I would go to if help was needed . glad that they chose one of them to be the hero of this film . the special effects are real effects here, as they actually used a real ship that was set to be scrapped, and sunk it while filming . after they were done with the film, they raised the ship, and towed it to the scrap yard to be cut up . anyway, any movie filmed at sea is ok with me . good acting and script . a bit sad to see any ship go down, but everything has it's time to go I suppose.

One of the most realistic war films that i've seen, with the way that they portray how the soldiers act . not your run of the mill, gun ho, charge the line, movie . all of my uncles where in World War two, some in the Pacific theater (Guadalcanal) and some in France & Belgium . when we used to have family gatherings and they would drink, later that night I would hear the stories, and it was then that I stopped wondering why I never saw any them smile . anyway great cast, well done.
