Most important TV show you can watch. Shows you the moral decay of America's cities through the institutional failures at every level. Every institution's method of measuring social progress is fixed in one way or another at the cost of the underclass of American society. The American Dream is dead and The Wire shows you why, as well as how those who have been left behind deal with such an existential crisis. All while including the hallmarks of excellent television. This is a must watch, it'll change your life and the way you see the world.
