I was in seventh grade when I read this book. I know. My parents should have done a better job at raising me. But, I cried for the first time reading a book. When he didn't come back home on the night of their anniversary. I cried for Tess. Real salt-water tears. At the age of twelve. Sitting on a bench. In the middle of the park. Crying for this woman. And her children. It was beautiful. This whole book was beautiful.
If you haven't yet, go and read it! You will probably cry too. (wink)
Thank you, Haran!
