I have read the book and seen the original so I was able to easily follow the story. The low rating is two fold. First is that there was a lot of content that was not explained well. The second is that I went in expecting a full movie and nothing in the previews or hype I heard said anything about a Part 1. If you are going to make a multi part series the audience needs to understand that.

Horrible sequel to a great movie. Loved the first one this one fell very very short. Concentration on pointless characters was a waste of time. Poor attempt at giving the squad backstories felt forced. And the attempt at a plot was pitiful. If I had to pick between watching this again or sharknado 9 It would be a very tough choice.
