I may be mistaken but I don't recall any other movie dealing with the subject of what German children experienced when nazis were in power there and promoted skewed ideas of various sorts, but especially of Jewish people. This movie not only deals with it, but does so in a way that feels true to human nature, and in ways most people wouldn't expect. They boy is very typical for a 10yr old, the mother rather brilliant in some ways, and many others of the cast are exceptional. It was a delightful, captivating, thought-provoking and exceptional movie. Time well spent.

I didn't think I could see a movie with Sandra Bullock that I wouldn't like. So wrong. Couldn't even get through 30 minutes before quitting. Maybe I was wrong to give up on it but it's my first time praying that Alzhiemers will help me forget this movie (all due respect to all who suffer from that horrible disease). I cannot get past the utterly unprofessional behavior of the female cop, and then seeing Sandra stooping to her level was it for me. This is my first 1 star rating. Yes, there are probably lots of movies far worse, but I don't try to watch them. This was supposed to be funny?

Loved it! Actors were perfectly chosen and performed stupendously. As if I were on Mars, I thirsted for more. Dear Walt must be turning in his grave that such a goldmine has been set aside. Blame is not on the story or quality of the directing, acting, or the numerous other aspects of making a blockbuster. Blame was on how this was sold/advertised.

I was transfixed through this whole movie, especially knowing it's based on a true story. It had a real impact on me. I'm 1/4 Norwegian and for the 1st time I felt proud to come from some of the toughest, fiercely loyal and decent people. The man everyone was trying to save did the most amazing acting job. It usually takes a lot for a movie to impress me. This movie ticked all the right boxes for me. It could have been jazzed up like a blockbuster, but I've gotten sick of that cookie cutter method. This seemed so much more real. I could go on and on but I've said enough.

Just found out there's only one season of this, to my dismay. When I first saw that Dave was gone I was startled, but then I watched their old episodes and realized oh, he wasn't terrorizing her because they thought it'd be funny, but because he wanted to terrorize her. So glad she realized she didn't need that. On to new show. I like Kenny. I like Kortney making life and tv show work without Dave, and like the unique design choices she makes. All except painting brick. You might be able to sell a home faster with painted brick, but I'd never buy it. I want brick because I'd never have to paint the brick . Ever. One headache of home ownership gone. But that's me. Wish there were more episodes. I'd watch them. You rock Kortney!

Definitely a brutal story, and at times not easy to watch, but I was impressed with how well the movie depicted what the characters might actually experience. Every character. I was a bit disappointed with the end, as I wanted to know exactly what happened to this brave pair. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It brought out the defender of the downtrodden in me, so be forewarned, lol.

The stars were awesome, as usual, but even though the movie was filmed 50 years ago, the behavior of men vs women barely resembled how people behaved back then. The movie gad lots of holes in it and didn't explain things it should have. Whether the writers, directors, filmed editors or all 3 were at fault, something was missing. It was interesting to be reminded of events in US history, and to see how far women have come in 50 years (but I'll still maintain that they were rarely as clingy and needy ).

99% of the time I am impressed with Judge Milian but on Bickering With Your Brother, she got it wrong. The complainant got it wrong. Her ceiling beams weren't damaged. But the drywall did get damaged by her brother. Those were not broom holes, but drywall mud that covered the screws holding the sheet rock up. Broom marks wouldn't be in straight lines. I've done a lot of drywall work and that lady should have been reimbursed for a new drywall ceiling, or the cost of drywall mudding the screw holes and painting. She shouldn't have removed the drywall. The half circles cut out were for wires, not broom marks. Love seeing her and her husband talking about cases or their lives. They're a good match!
