Expected basic drama thriller based on comic & ended up watching an academy award for best actor as far as I am concerned! Coming from many years experience working with psychiatric patients, this Phenonix portrayed a psychotic persons struggles in the real time world about as exact as I have known ! ! Then relayed it to gothum ! He lost an incredible amount of weight for this movie & while he was a perfect depiction of severe mental illness with delusions/hallucinations, there was an even darker twist into what actually could happen, what does happen & some comic fiction. Simply amazing! I see so many awards heading to this in the near future! Wow! (Not for kids at all ) gruesome killing.
