I like this show with some caveats. It's funny, silly, and serious. I like some of the themes (life, betrayal vs. trust, work relationships, etc) and the setting. Lee Minho is excellent. The cons: I wasn't expecting the language to be so explicit. I could do without that. TBH, I gave up after 4 episodes. It was not what I expected and not particularly enjoyable.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this drama. I thought the two leads had outstanding chemistry. I have never seen Yoon Hyun-Min before, and I was very impressed by his range of emotions and acting. I've always enjoyed Yoo In-na, and I was impressed by the way she portrayed Deborah, a scorned, ridiculed broadcast star/writer who fights her way back into the public's eye with the ML's help, who also lost in love. I liked the subplots as well and found the whole tenor of the show to be very thoughtful and sweet. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a sincere and funny K rom-com about the heartache of breaking up and of finding strength to move forward.

This is one of the most beautiful and tender, yet heartbreaking, Kdramas I've ever watched. Namkoong Min is unbelievable in the role of Lee Ji-ha. My favorite actor continues to stun with his exceptional talent. This role is incredibly subtle and yet we see very clearly his character's guardedness and reticence to feel or emote, as we watch as that hard outer shell begins to melt away as he develops feelings for the female lead, Lee Da-eum, played wonderfully by Jeon Yeo-Been. The supporting actors are also outstanding. I love the character development of so many of them. Deeply flawed, almost every character in this series shows growth when faced with Da-eum's mortality. Episode 11 finds me crying every few minutes; I did not expect that, but one cannot NOT be moved to tears by the hauntingly gorgeous story, complete with a perfect OST and visuals. I'm sure I'll be bawling when I watch the conclusion! I plan to rewatch this multiple times. I wish more people were watching. Truly, this is in my top 5 K-dramas ever. Watch! But have a box of Kleenex with you; you'll need it!

Just came back from this fantastic film! 3 hours long and I didn't want it to end! I was on the edge of my seat multiple times. I'm sad the series has ended, but of course, I'm going to rewatch this one multiple times, as I have the others. Cruise, as producer and actor, is focused on giving the audience a roaring good time down to every last detail, and he succeeds wildly! I enjoyed the cast; each had a special part in the story, and all roles were well acted. I loved that Final Reckoning had some story arcs tied to early Mission: Impossible movies. Cruise, of course, did mind-blowing stunts, made even more impressive by the fact that he's 62! Like, how is that possible?? The movie is absolutely visually stunning! The directing-top notch- the cinematography, and the locations make this simply one of the best action films ever. As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of the series, and Final Reckoning was a fabulous way to end it. I won't share spoilers, but suffice to say, there were some teary moments for fans of the long-time cast, so bring Kleenex. I'll be heading back to the theater next week to see this again in Dolby. 5 stars all the way!!

I'm nearing the end of episode 9 and will revise my review later, but I wanted to add my voice to others who love this drama; so do I! Wow! I've watched quite a few series recently that were pretty good but nothing special, so I wasn't sure what to expect with When the Phone Rings. I found it because I really like the two leads (he from Hospital Playlist, and she from I Am Not a Robot). What a stellar job these two have done in this show! As others have said, their chemistry is amazing and their acting is spectacular! Now I'll have to go watch them in other dramas, ha-ha. The story was hard to follow but Ep. 9 is where many of the mysteries are revealed, so hang in there if you're a bit confused. It's an interesting story with lots of moving parts and interesting secondary characters. I'm sure more will be revealed in the last few episodes. Anywho, I'll be back to update this when I'm done. For now, I'll just say this is totally binge-worthy. The OST (with the male lead, Yoo Yeon Seok, singing the most incredible song, Say My Name) is as gorgeous as the main leads. :-) Edited after the 12th episode: It's soooo good!! I stand by everything I said. I shed more than a few tears in the last few episodes. The last episode was a little rocky but ended beautifully. I'll be watching this again and again! Watch this; you won't regret it!

So I'm only on the 3rd episode and I'm sure I'll edit my review to add more later. This show is so good and so much fun! I've been howling with laughter at the antics of the FL and her interactions with the ML. I found this show because I was looking for more series starring both of these actors. I really liked the FL in My Fellow Citizens! and the ML in Angels Last Mission. They have great chemistry as actors and the comedy timing of both is awesome! It's a refreshing story with some oddball characters; so far, it really works for me! Edited: I'm now 11 episodes in and it's gotten even better! Seriously, this is a great series! It's comedy, romance, and action with a surprising (or maybe not) bad guy. I love the development of the relationships of the leads and the secondary characters/actors add great value to the story. I love the intersection of old Joseon meets Seoul and the conflict in values between the two. In some ways, it's more fun than a time travel Kdrama. I'm so disappointed the viewership isn't higher! It's way better than a lot of more popular series. It's multi-layered, and you'll find yourself laughing and crying and caring about the characters. Please give this a try! I'm eager to catch up (binge-watching it now) and see the last couple of episodes as they're released.

I thought I'd written a review back when this first came out but I guess not! I've watched this movie probably 2 dozen times by now and it simply doesn't get old. This is one of my favorite movies ever, Christian-themed or not! I laugh and cry every time I watch it. So, what makes it so good? First, Brett Dalton's performance is stellar: he's so genuine, so believable, so authentic, and so relatable, that you can't help but root for him. His chemistry with Anjela Johnson is terrific! It's so fun to see her play a "straight-man" character, knowing she's a comedian, yet she gets in plenty of hilarious looks and lines. They work so well together as their characters develop a true friendship, probably one of the few (if any) Gavin's ever had. The rest of the cast, rounded out by long-time professionals like DB Sweeny, Neil Flynn, and even Shawn Michaels, means we're treated to a very professional production despite it being a "Christian film". The themes in the movie are terrific! As someone else mentioned, the line said twice, "This is what we do" really hits the central themes: forgiveness, second chances, true friendship, and most of all, grace. The movie has many funny and poignant moments, and they're tied together nicely with good directing and some great songs in the soundtrack. 10/10 for sure. If you've hesitated to watch a Christian-themed film that mentions Jesus, and shows the story of his birth, life, death, and resurrection, please give this non-preachy, funny, thoughtful movie a try. You won't be disappointed!

Oh gosh, I've been waiting to write a review and now that we're 6 episodes in, there's so much to say! First, as everyone knows, Namkoong Min is (IMO) the best Korean actor around and in this role, he absolutely shines! Each episode past the first just keeps getting better and better as Min, who plays Lee Jang-hyun, takes us through so many action-packed and gut-wrenching scenes. He plays Jang-hyun perfectly as a man who never wanted to get married, never wanted to support his country or the king, and the man who wanted to walk away from war. Instead, he rises to the occasion each and every time, saving countless lives. His fight scenes are amazing; his tender and humor-filled scenes are wonderful, and his growing affection for Yoo Gil-chae is beautiful to watch. He's a master, no doubt about it. Ahn Eun-jin plays the FL, and she does a masterful job of transforming from a snobby, shallow noble's daughter into someone who's willing to put her life on the line for her friends. She will absolutely grow on you! Min and Ahn have a very nice chemistry as they begin to see each other as someone "worthy" of loving. It will be very so much fun to watch the rest of the episodes to see when they will actually confess to each other and accept the other's feelings. The historicity of the drama is absolutely incredible. The costumes, scenery, and realistic scenes of the horrors of war are probably the best I've seen in a Sageuk. Each episode has me on the edge of my set and I've shed more than a few tears. My biggest worry is that this will have a sad ending! I really, really hope not. Edited to add that part 2 is so incredibly moving; it's full of emotion, tears, reunions for multiple characters, and even some tender funny moments as Jang-hyun pretends to be unconscious so he can have Gil Chae nurse him back to health in Episode 15. We have no idea what's going to happen between our FL and ML, but their love is clearly growing deeper even as they face yet another separation due to the jealousy of Gak-hwa and the fact that Gil Chae is still married. Now that I've watched the whole thing, I can confidently say that this will be the best drama you will see in 2023, and if you're like me, it will be the best drama ever(tied with Guardian: The Lonely and Great God)! Seriously- the best drama I've watched. Everything about this drama is stunningly spectacular. It's already begun to win awards, both for the lead actors and the production as a whole. It's such an intensely emotional show (have your Kleenex handy) and the production value is as good as it gets, truly. Every single actor adds value and the authenticity of the show is pure brilliance. Many people were worried about what was going to happen in part 2 with the introduction of "competition" to our FL lead. I won't spoil the show, but I will say that you will end up watching the whole thing breathlessly to the very end and that you will want to watch it again many times over!!

This is just what I was looking for in a rom-com! I really enjoyed Lee Jun-ho in Good Manager and the Red Sleeve and was looking forward to his next series. So far, it's exceeded my expectations and I'm binge-watching to catch up! Jun-ho is *so* good at both comedy and drama! I'm so impressed with his ability to draw the viewer into his emotions only to have us laugh at his comedic facial expressions and timing. Interestingly, while I liked K2, I didn't really care for Im Yoon-ah's performance very much so I wasn't sure if I'd like her in this, but so far, so good. She and Jun-ho have really good chemistry and she's surprisingly adept at comedy. I won't spoil it too much but will say if you haven't watched episodes 8 or 9, you're in for a treat as you watch the leads grow closer. :-) While the storyline might not be "fresh", it's such a sweet, familiar story, and I love being able to laugh and tear up in the same episode. Kudos also to the other main characters; I really like the trio friendship of Sa-rang, Pyung-hwa, and Kang Dae-eul. The actresses are all familiar and do a great job of navigating their roles emotionally and giving the viewer an insight into the job challenges they face. I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes and I have no doubt I'll be watching this series again and again when it's done! Edited to add: 13 episodes in, and the show just keeps getting better and better! There are some really poignant moments between the leads and their chemistry is truly remarkable. While there are lighthearted and fun/funny moments, the themes of family, loss, love, and dignity for all people make this really exceptional. The last 3 episodes promise some major events and I truly hope it has a happy ending! Edited after episode 16, the last episode: Sooooooo good!! All I can say is you will cry happy tears in the last episode so please do yourself a huge favor if you haven't been watching and binge-watch the whole series! :-) The series exceeded the hype and I will be watching this many times again.

So I saw this tonight with two of my (adult) children and one of them said, "Mom, you had your hand in front of your mouth the whole time!" It's true; I was gasping at all the incredible, intense action the whole 2 hours and 43 minutes. What an amazing addition to the MI movies!! With no spoilers, let's just say this was first-rate, and the new characters fit right in with the action. The stunts were executed perfectly. They had the usual Cruise running scenes, fight scenes, car chase scenes, mask scenes, and of course (as shown in the previews), the insane motorcycle off the cliff scene. Atwell is a welcome addition to the cast; she pulls off action scenes brilliantly! Expect some emotion and of course unfinished business. Kudos to the filmmakers and actors for making this a 10/10! I hope to see it again on the big screen.
