I really hadn’t heard much about this film. So was late seeing it. Granted it does portray the sadder aspects of her life, but I was stunned at just how remarkable the movie and, particularly, the acting was in this film.
Coming from a long line of Garland worshippers, I thought it was a magnificently difficult subject/character; magnificently portrayed. Good film is still alive.
If Zelliweiger hasn’t earned an Oscar on this one, no one has.
