One time watch. Some parts are fun. Ayushman Kurrana has done a good job.

Had it been on OTT I would have seen it in 15 minutes!! Anyway the pros are it's location Kartik Aryan Kiara Gajraj Rao and the Gujju vibe which is very cute, am sick of all the Hindi movies having the same Punjabi flavour or UP flavour so this one was a refreshing change. Totally worth watching. It's a labour of love and it shows in each frame. The production design is awesome. Every actor has given his or her finest performance. Recreating the period had been done with a lot of care, it just takes one to that time and place effortlessly! I loved all the songs. Lilting and beautiful. I do wish a little more effort had gone into the writing and screenplay. Somewhere it feel as though Roy Talkies produced just a couple of films! Apart from that this is a gem. Not to be missed. Such series don't come along very often. A big congratulations to the entire team and director.

Get down from your ivory towers, open your hearts and go watch this. Experience it. Feel the pain. Yes it's disturbing, it's heartbreaking but it will open your eyes and make you a different, better person. The first half is absolutely brilliant. I was teary in many places. But it's also peppered with subtle, sometimes dark humour. Superb writing. There are so many layers and the hidden gems are visible only to those who have been highly invested in the happenings. The irony is strong in the scene where the cops need tea but they also want to lockdown the chaiwala! I love the way the director metaphorically reveals the agenda, that the Covid rituals are nothing but tools used by the authorities to control everyone. The minute any of the migrant workers demand their rights they are told to shut up, mask up and keep their distance!!! The way the poor disregard the masks and the rich embrace it was not only absolutely accurate but also brought out how only some can afford to play the game! But the second half meanders into caste issues and makes it the focus. But do watch. It's riveting. You cannot miss it it's a piece of history.

Worth watching and all the stars I gave are only for Shahid Kapoor. He carries the film on his shoulders and rescues it from the cliched story, poor screenplay, dull dialogues and average cinematography.

Awesome script, brilliant acting and very gripping. A movie that just should not be missed. A comical satire in which the message is embedded for those who can see it, want to see it. It spares no one, Right wing or Left. The brilliance is in giving the left the exterior of the right! Though it touches on several issues like sexism, the vapid humour and airheadedness of TV shows, the marketing of everything, using of titillating news to overshadow important news, using the experts etc, it does not let all of that overshadow the entertainment part. The screenplay remains tight, the editing intelligent and seamless. Jennifer Lawrence and DiCaprio have made acting seem absolutely effortless!
