Whoever says this game doesn’t have a story line is just oblivious to the game. Those people probably skip every single cinematic the game offers. The story line splits off and comes together through the game. The game is obviously set it a post apocalyptic world (yes we have all played these game and should not be compared to other games) but the game focuses on the protagonist and his adventure post and during the game. The story branches out and into the open world and Govea you insight on different societies and how the protagonist interacts with them as well as side stories that connect you to the carrecter in an emotional level. The story is told on past and current situations and is split up accordingly. A deep connection is built between all characters because they all come In contact with what is going on in that instance of the protagonists life. It’s hard to base a game in a post apocalyptic world but this game does a great job of mixing it up with closure to things that happened before the outbreak and current situations that arise from the world you are exploring. The game Is linear put let’s you explore prospective on multiple societies as well as what’s currently going on with the protagonist. Some reviewers have said that the mission are representative and redundant but if you put yourself in the situation that is what you would do in real life to survive. If you play the game and follow the stories the missions will not be a bore but a incentive to uncover the next part of the adventure. If you don’t follow or connect with the characters the missions will in fact be boring but why would you play the game if you don’t want to connect to the world. This is not a gta or rdr2 it’s an open world with linear stories to follow. Don’t compare this great game to other similar games because although it incorporates lots of mechanics at the end it’s a story driven game.
