This book is far from interesting or special...continuous sexism, racism, etc. The book depicts a basic white savior complex if you ask me, i do not and never will understand the point of this novel. Scout the main character is constantly belittled by her fellow mates for acting " too girly " or not " girly " enough, either from her being scared or cautious because apparently that's an obvious " feminine" trait. Overall there are also too many fillers within the novel, shading what the actual plot is which i honestly still do not understand. If i had to guess though i would say it is mainly focused on an innocent black men being accused of sexually assaulting a white resident, but from the nonsense about children you wouldn't be able to tell. I would give this zero stars if i could, it is disgusting waste of time.
