Just watched this film this evening. It is an excellent film, and the actors are top notch. It is loosely based on a true story. Another reviewer said they should have used real sharks, well they did. Watch the special features, and watch the interview with the shark wrangler and expert that was used. Another poster said sharks are wonderful and never attack or eat people. I suggest this person read the true story of THE USS INDIANAPOLIS. This is a true story of a navy ship during World 2, sunk by a Japanese Submarine. Many of the living men were attacked and killed and eaten by the Oceanic White Tip,one of the most aggressive sharks. Some of the surviving sailors tell their horrific stories. Sharks are not out to get us, but are animals of opportunity. I suspect many here reviewing are young, and want a movie with constant gore, and little thought. It was well done, wonderfully shot, and thought provoking. For an Independent low budget, it stands out. Once again, fo all those saying the sharks looked so fake, THEY WERE ALL REAL, watch the special features on dvd. or research the darn film making, Also the real couple did die, assumed to have died from dehydration, and or killed by sharks. Another reviewer said, oh so boring, no dialogue , wth ,a lot of conversation between the stranded couple was present. Get off your cell phones, stop texting, and watch a movie really watch. Or maybe watch some garbage like American Pie again.
