This is watchable. Just. And certainly not slow but IMO it's sort of 'Line of Duty' for thick people. Interestingly, the majority of cops/good guys are black or female or gay or 'all of the above' whilst all of the bad guys are white heterosexual males, so a bit of a reversal from many other cop shows and certainly nobody could accuse the casting director of not being inclusive but I'm not sure how in touch with reality this scenario actually is? Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters were brilliant in "Top Boy" and both are excellent actors but they're treading water in this, playing heavily stereotyped characters and going through the motions with weak scripts saturated with more F words than a Tourette's convention, presumably to compensate for the lack of substance. If you took all of the expletives out, each episode would be at least 15 mins shorter. Their banter can be quite amusing at times though and for me was what saved this show from going completely down the gurgler. If you like undemanding and completely unrealistic action films like The Expendables you don't really know that much about the police, guns, cars, reality etc. and you like lots of swearing, you'll probably love this.
