Easily one of the best farm simulation game ever made, with an incredibly deep but very intuitive farming system, likable cast of characters, a challenging yet rewarding combat system with multiple playstyles, While Stardew Valley seems like a love letter to the SNES era of Harvest Moon, Rune Factory 4 is a innovative look towards the future pushing the limit of the genre as a whole. That is not to say however that Rune Factory 4 is without faults, the most significant of which is the reliance on low probabilities to trigger some important story events as well as high quality materials. But overall, this is an excellent game, and I am hopeful to see the next iteration of Rune Factory releasing soon.
