This sort of cult comedy is possible in Nebraska 2013, Nepoleon Dynamite; but for a WWII true story it's quite unexpected. A movie never paced up or down with war actions or tragedy, nicely kept on track all through the end. Very uncommonly good story, wonderful landscape, perfect cult acting makes it a masterpiece. Awkwardly underrated though.
