It's always easy to ruin something great for money. If you weren't going to continue, capture or relatively coincide with the original gaming storyline or books then you should have created a new series of it's own.
People who were never into Halo's story and just like sci-fi flicks are going to say it's alright. But if anybody, that's who it was made for. Not for all of the actual Halo fans.
It seems to just take too much time and work to create something that delicately flows with an already set-in-stone storyline. Instead, they took the easy route and threw money in just to make "whatever it became."
He should have never taken his helmet off. It doesn't matter who the actor is, part of MasterChief is supposed to be mysterious and reserved. You're supposed to use your imagination to create that character. All though it's known he is human, when you reveal an actual person it lessens the connection; putting in the reality as to "what makes him so special." Unlike superheros 117 is the suit around the man NOT the man in the suit. You could have atleast waited until the end of the series and then shown his face if you wanted to do that.
Furthermore, he seems to be a supportive role and also brainwashed? He's supposed to know who he is, that's what makes him special.
In short: I hate it.
