To be fair, the new Pokémon looks really good. The so called Wild Area is a really nice add on that almost everyone looks forward to. The storyline Is average. The new mechanisms are just meh.
For $80SGD, I find that it’s not entirely worth it for me. I love to Pokémon and had been playing for years. To me, the post game for Pokémon is to explore, catch them all, breed competitively and use your favorite Pokémon in battle.
Every generation there’s a favorite for me.
People seems to be thinking National Dex is the real issue. This is not true.
The real issue for most of the outcries are regarding the chance to transfer your Pokémon from previous games to the current one.
For me, I would always transfer all of them and re-breed them to fit the current generation with new moves and usage.
It’s extremely childish and naive for people to say that this game is catered to kids and that it’s just making it easier for them.
The basis of Pokémon haven’t change much and i doubt it will make any differences for the kids to play the game. It’s mostly the adults that are doing the breeding and battle competitively.
Even if it’s a bit hard for the kids to grasp the concept of breeding, at least it teaches them to work hard and learn for what they strive for and wish for.
Spoon feeding is not the correct way to justify making the game easier.
