Meh. Beautiful costuming and light. Love the actors, but I suppose as a researcher of this court, Henry, all of the Tudors, 16th century including all of their lives and this woman’s I just don’t understand making films about real people and using their names that are from real peoples’ lives and then totally utterly and completely changing the story (SPOILERS NOW AHEAD) Among the things in this film that never ever remotely happened IN REAL LIFE, are: Him r***ping her. She being pregnant by him, nor losing non existent child, nor that he was very very cruel to her (Henry’s cruelty lay in discarding abandoning and beheading his wives. But not in hitting them) Katherine ever being in his death chamber Her killing him Her putting out another book that changed religion I would just like to once in my life see a Tudor court movie with a high budget that actually tells their REAL STORY, with real historical record when using their real names.
