This review is specifically for Nano Assault EX. A simple premise, smooth gameplay and pleasing visuals will help drive you through its many unlockable modes for quite a while. After a certain point, it sits comfortably in your 3DS collection, becoming something like comfort food when you're bored. The better you are though, the more you'll get outta this game. You game over once, and then you'll most likely just close it, and be bored again, as there's not much to grind towards, other than online leaderboards.

If you modded your Wii and need your FPS fix, this'll actually do nicely. I give it only 3 stars, cos while it is very smooth at 60 frames-per-second, and is a very easy-to-digest experience overall, it's just not gonna blow anyone away, and outside of boss battles potentially, you're not gonna find yourself sweating at the edge of your seat. It's a very safe yet buttery experience for when your kids wanna shoot something, or you've had a rough day and just need to kick in with your favourite genre. Believe me, I am the latter, right now.

If it wasn't for the last car you unlock, this would be such an easy game to recommend, but the game becomes so unbalanced because if you don't use the last car after you unlock it, an AI opponent will, and you're just not gonna get very far in the game. Such a massive shame, though. The rest of the game is so well-crafted, it feels like a PREMIUM experience on the Wii. If you simply have to get this game nonetheless, you still have to mod your Wii to play it, unfortunately.

THIS GAME NEEDS TO COME TO THE SWITCH. It's been a massive sensation for me ever since it released on the 3DS in 2014. Interacting with my original Mii Characters and watching them interact with each other in so many ways is such a fulfilling experience, and I cannot overstate how much I enjoy this experience. It's hard to give it a 10/10 on that alone, though. I wish there were more kinds of interactions you can have with your Mii Characters, as well as more meaty distractions on the side. The more things to do in this game, the better it'll get, I think. Tomodachi Life should be an evergreen series with more to do as the game evolves. Either a sequel or a Switch port would be great in bringing more to this game.

I came for the Star Fox content, and I stayed for the gameplay and setting. It's one of the most beautiful galaxies I've ever seen, and getting to explore all of it at will and take care of each planet, in a fighter that doubles as a hovercraft, is a unique and indescribable feeling, and I love it so much. Don't bother getting anything physical for this game, besides the game itself, obviously. It was pushed really REALLY heard by Ubisoft as a selling point that you can swap all these parts in real-time by plugging in stuff on a figurine sitting on top of your controller, but you don't even have to do that. In fact, nowadays it's encouraged that you just buy everything for the game digitally instead, and pause the game to switch things out, since the physical stuff (the toys-to-life aspect of it if you will) didn't sell well at all to begin with, and isn't even strategically sound when you're in the thick of combat against a wave of giant angry robots. Wait for a price drop though before you do all that, because all the bells and whistles, extra weapons, ships and pilots and all that, as fun as it is to play with and experiment, just ain't worth the exorbitant price Ubisoft seems to demand for the full game (not including the ACTUAL DLC, that's a separate thing). The game itself, the exploration, combat, and customization, all of it is worth 4 stars, and I cannot recommend this game enough to any Switch owner. ... Just wait for a price drop for the full game, before you get it.

At some point, the whole trilogy of Rogue Squadron games is gonna get either ported or remastered/remade for modern platforms. It kinda just seems like the right thing to do with these games. Until then, consider Rogue Squadron II on the GameCube to be an easy buy, whether you're a Star Wars fan, or dog-fighting fan. The amount of playable ships in this game will leave you begging for more, and the missions, while limited in number, are challenging, and satisfying to complete. On top of that, this game was part of the launch lineup and was a technical showcase for the GameCube, and it shows in the best of ways. The solid framerate, and meticulous detailing on all the ships in the game is really something to behold. To make this game look good on modern platforms may require only minor visual increases and adjustments. The only knock on this game is that the control settings don't mesh well with the overall gameplay. One may find themselves confused on what settings to stick with, as no matter what, you may find yourself hindered somewhat by them. A small price to pay, however, for what feels like a premium experience that'll leave you wanting more, on the GameCube.

The most novel and engaging fun you'll have using the 3DS's camera. Taking pictures to see what happens is often quite hilarious. But once you finish story mode and the novelty wears off, you may never find yourself touching the game again. It's engaging and fun for a while, but unfortunately, it doesn't have a permanent hook to it. Also, it requires the pack-in book to play the story mode and a separate game mode, so you have to order a physical copy, or go out and find it, and in 2021, that may not be so easy, anymore...

Get this. You will NOT regret it. Even if it has some weird control schemes, the 4 open worlds you get to explore is SO. MUCH. FUN. Just running around, teasing your friends and/or leading your AI buddies, in-game avatar OR Mii character, is just so... intimate, for lack of better word. The minigames are the "rides" of this amusement park, and there's a lot here you can sink your teeth into, so much so that there's something for everyone. I'd give it 5 stars if it was easier to control your characters and do tricks and things like that, but that's something you can get used to easily, as there's no rush in this game, just... well, a vacation. Have fun!

Yes. You DO have to mod the Wii to get Jett Rocket. But to me at least, it's worth it. KIND OF a one-and-done experience, unless you want to finish finding all the solar cells (Mario 64 coins) in each level, but it's a great one-and-done experience. Its presentation and graphics will remind you of Super Mario Galaxy in a good way, because it just has that level of visual quality and smoothness in gameplay. Since you're reading this, get the sequel, too. Jett Rocket II: The Wrath Of Taikai on 3DS. Both of these are ESSENTIAL on their respective platforms if you're craving a solid 3D platforming experience on them, and at least with the sequel, you can still get it without having to mod the system.
