I came for the Star Fox content, and I stayed for the gameplay and setting. It's one of the most beautiful galaxies I've ever seen, and getting to explore all of it at will and take care of each planet, in a fighter that doubles as a hovercraft, is a unique and indescribable feeling, and I love it so much.
Don't bother getting anything physical for this game, besides the game itself, obviously. It was pushed really REALLY heard by Ubisoft as a selling point that you can swap all these parts in real-time by plugging in stuff on a figurine sitting on top of your controller, but you don't even have to do that. In fact, nowadays it's encouraged that you just buy everything for the game digitally instead, and pause the game to switch things out, since the physical stuff (the toys-to-life aspect of it if you will) didn't sell well at all to begin with, and isn't even strategically sound when you're in the thick of combat against a wave of giant angry robots.
Wait for a price drop though before you do all that, because all the bells and whistles, extra weapons, ships and pilots and all that, as fun as it is to play with and experiment, just ain't worth the exorbitant price Ubisoft seems to demand for the full game (not including the ACTUAL DLC, that's a separate thing).
The game itself, the exploration, combat, and customization, all of it is worth 4 stars, and I cannot recommend this game enough to any Switch owner. ... Just wait for a price drop for the full game, before you get it.
