This movie is so well done, the B/W is so gorgeous that I thought it was made in that era! But no, it is a very recent movie. I have some of the greatest movies ever made in my collection, but I must say, in my opinion this ranks up there with the best masterpieces. I do understand that unless you've actually faced certain things in life, this movie may not connect with you. But for those who know pain, not necessarily physical abuse, or what it's like to be alone..., this movie is for you.

Even in 2021, Lain, the anime released in 1998 is still ahead of its time. Watch it, you will not be disappointed.

Almost 20 years later, this movie resonates with me even more emotionally. I don't expect culturally dead and insinsitve people to like this movie very much, but it is a masterpiece.

Avatar, the last Airbender. What can I say? I bought the series when it came out on DVD. My daughter was born the year it came out, and till this day, 15 years later she still enjoys it as well as myself. One of the things I appreciate about the show is not mentioned by most reviewers. It is the settings of the 4 different kingdoms that mirror our own nations and cultures. For instance, you have the Chinese, Japanese, Indian cultural elements as well as some land scape elements that are clearly Utah-ish especially with a nod to Delicate Arch in Arches National park in one of the episodes. The show even gives homage to native indigenous cultures. To me, this show reveals how we are all interconnected, and the demise of one culture is the demise of us all. Sadly today in the era of COVID 19, Chinese aggression, American racism and environmental degradation, this show is more relevant than ever! If I may- The Fire Nation is China and USA, The Earth Kingdom is India and Japan, etc. This is just my artistic license looking at the character of the nations. ATLAB clearly has a far reaching message we should all consider and ponder.

Great, inspirational film. Gives you an idea of what the Christ mythological child was like. The fact that this was about a real historical figure made me want to learn more, so I did.
