to me this movie was better than Dark Victory or Now Voyager....the emotion in the eyes of Bette Davis and Charles Boyer was more important than the spoken words between the two.....both stars delivered great performances......a great love story between two loved starved people and the love of the children was just so well presented by each and every person and even the old man i believe Henry Davenport was just superb......and in the end he was rescued by death and she was rescued by the kindness of an admirer and the audience is left with hope that love wins for all of us ....
