I watched this show with my husband who is a HUGE Godzilla fan. I am not a huge Godzilla fan, but I really enjoyed it. Here are his thoughts, which do include SPOILERS. "While in most Godzilla films the human characters are inconsequential and boring, the main cast of SP is able to be interesting and be an actual part of the plot in a big way. Instead of most of the story being based around just the monsters and their conflict, the slow buildup to the catastrophe and the rush to find the answer is engaging and meaningful. I really enjoyed the scientific techno-babble because even just the concept introduced like time traveling computers is interesting and very different from past Godzilla media. I especially enjoyed the fan service for some of the less popular Godzilla monsters, particularly the huge amount of focus on Jet Jaguar who is a criminally under utilized Godzilla character. Using Jet Jaguar as the vehicle to pay off the science fiction aspects of the show leads up to one of the most satisfying climaxes in Godzilla media today. Here is hoping for a season two."
