Overall, I like the message of the book. It is a powerful story of a woman overcoming trauma. I appreciated her uniqueness and that of Raymond as well. He was flawed, but endearing. I would have liked to know a bit more about their relationship (were they just going to stay friends) but that's just a nitpick. The resson I'm giving this four stars and not five is because there is so much unnecessary exposition and it's really boring. I honestly skimmed some of it because it felt tedious. Overall, I did like the story though.
