Morton's first book, Inceptio, was the first one I've ever read in alternate history except for Robert Harris's Fatherland. Anyway, I thought I'd give it a go. Oh, my goodness. I was delighted to finally read a very strong female heroine, made even more satisfying by the matriarchal society the author has created. I've since read every single one in the series and been on the edge of my seat with all of them!
