Only two people actually act and speak in the film although there are others in the various scenes Lot of talk and one explicit sex episode Kenau reminds me of Clint Eastwood and Wynona , whom I like, is almost unintelligible for most of the time

I like the film ; the setting and Meryl and Steve but Alec Baldwin becomes increasingly irritataing the more often you watch the film . No self respecting woman would put up with that much intrusion

I have read many of the Roy Grace books .The stories are certainly edgy ! I find the TV adaptations a bit strange: the story lines are mangled quite extensively and the casting is bizarre In the books RG is 5'10" and fair haired whilst John Simm is about 5'5" and greying . Potting is corpulent , with a comb over and constantly making PC incorrect jokes. Bella Moy is constantly at the Maltesers ( barely noticed in the TV series) . Cassian Pewe is a standard sized, sycophantic, whingeing creep in the books whilst Sam Hoare is a towering and intimidating figure

I thought it was wonderfully acted. Meryl , Tommy and Steve were totally credible and dealt with a very real ,and probably not uncommon ,situation Comedy? It is not! Maybe the fumblings in the cinema scene was mildly grin inducing but otherwise it was very real and utterly serious
