I feel like I lost some IQ points for watching this. Having lived through Y2K as a young adult, I thought that this would be amusing but it was awful. Needlessly vulgar (and I am not easily offended) and all of the pop culturally relevant or funny scenes were shown in the trailer. Save yourself $$$, watch the trailer and call it a day.

Unless you are tripping on acid, this movie is a waste of time. The acting isn’t bad- it’s the story. Several story lines that don’t connect and no conclusion ( or cohesive plot lines) to anything. Plus too many cuts to some 80’s infomercial skit that wasn’t funny after the second one. This movie reminded me of something that you might have a dream about that seems really awesome until you wake up and your mind tries to actually process it and realizes that it wasn’t great. Basically this movie is someone’s weird dream that doesn’t make sense if you are conscious and hard to identify with unless you had the dream.

Good adaptation of the book. Stephen King isn’t always easy to translate on the big screen. It’s pretty obvious that most of the reviewers saying that it was too boring to watch aren’t big readers and didn't have a clue that this was based on a novel.
