A nuanced entertainer film! What hooked me on to the film from the very first second was the "Thanks" credit that was so long and so detailed. Seemed like every person who may have provided even the slightest help, was mentioned. After which, every other person involved in making this film, including the drivers, make up artists, etc, who are usually credited for in the end, were given due credit in the start of the film itself. The crew was given their due importance over the actors. And that itself spoke for the film.
Now, coming to the film. A great story. The characters were very realistic. The household scenarios and community living was captured to the T. There was never an overdo of anything in the film. Surely, the initial contact and continued connection between the characters of Anna Ben and Roshan Matthew was a stretch. But given it is a film, a little cinematic liberty is okay.
The realistic characters, and the story it ultimate tells you, without directly pointing at it makes the film extremely nuanced. It is very cleverly written. The film is great in itself, but it is at that last moment you understand the layers of the film.
Shreenath Bhasi does a fantastic job as Roy. Anna Ben is equally good as Jessy. Roshan Matthew makes a very believable Vishnu, making you root for him till the very end.
All other characters, and every minute detail of the film adds to the depth of the story. Loved this film! Have already watched this 5 times, and yet not been bored.
This short, sweet and unexpected "not-a-romcom" film would be good watch any day!
