Don't get it. Is this meant to be funny? & the music score, maybe its trying to be quirky, but l think it misses the mark. The only reason lm still watching is the lovely daughter who l think is fab & of course Rachel Griffiths can make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Strangely addictive though....

Brilliant.
Funny, heartwarming, page turner…..well written & relatable, the kind of book lve been looking for to spend time with, a narrative without complications so l could read it before bed & remember what was going on without rereading the next night!!

I just spent the last hour watching this film & there was no background or discernible reason why the character of Phil is so boorish & rude. I found his character one dimensional even though Benedict C is amazing portraying the pent up menace, meaness & cruelty of this man, we, the audience have no idea why he is like this. I found this so off putting l decided not to go on watching.
The filming is beautiful & the music score especially good, as are all the performances……..
maybe l will watch the second half tomorrow, but maybe life is too short!???
