i love the message of this, but for any people who read the book, this did not do it justice one bit. so many main story lines were left out and so many conflicts and just characters were left out. i mean they left out Amanda, many scenes at the school, the part when she leaves to work at the chili bowl, many important scenes with her mom, mitch, and so many more important things. i mean i know that they have to cut it down for the movie but i just feel the story was lost without these important factors. it still conveyed the message but all in all i couldn’t bare to watch it without wanting to yell at my tv because soooo many important details were left out.
