Plots are thick and have layers. However, I HATE the makeup! Looks like everyone has the wrong color spray tan :( They don't color the ears of the mayor, the daughter is darker than she needs to be, they all look as if they are being matched to Edie Falco's overdone color. I sure hope it gets fixed because it's very distracting a pretty well-done show. I also hope that Tommy being lesbian is not just pandering to a perceived public. So far (2 episodes) it sure doesn't seem relevant.
