Out of phase 4, this is the only one I liked by a long mile from the other ones. And this was the one I kept delaying to watch. This is so good.
Some illogical things though like the cars working in the village. And as to what really happened when Shang chi was 14.
Being an Asian, I noticed some underlying themes that are a bit sad since it's Hollywood. One, the sister's hair is a stereotype. That she can only wear a dragon and was not given a speech by her momma is bull if this is a real Asian. Also, the inconsistencies of how toxic their family is or how completely dysfunctional it was. Marvel didn't know what to do or how to deal with it. They couldn't make it more comical as they could offend people and they couldn't keep it too toxic since they wanted the movie to bring you those emotions but reel it in for the action and the visual effects. Had to say the bamboo on the building was a bit predictable. The effects and the other scenes are so spot on though. Still the best movie from phase 4 by a mile for me. Just hated that Wong looks tanned and they don't have the right color to be Chinese nor Asian, it feels the cast was edited to be tanned. Idk why but that took 1 star out of it.
