this movie is so under appreciated it’s sad. it’s just so oversexualized because the marketing team decided that it was for teenage boys when it was MOST DEFINITELY made for teenage girls, like the way that mean girls was. it’s like a commentary on female friendships, so obviously the boys who came to see megan strip are going to be disappointed, and it never made its way to the girls who were supposed to see it at the time. it is absolutely iconic for gay girls because the marketing didn’t turn us off, and then we got the real message and tone it was supposed to convey in the first place.
