Completely tone-deaf. I was half expecting little emojis to popup next to characters. Every adult is weirdly obnoxious and sexual. I guess it's supposed to be funny or shocking but it's just predictable and gross. Main character is 12 and I was cringing at the tension between him and the babysitter in the beginning. Netflix originals can be hit or miss but this is a HARD MISS. I can't believe this movie has such good ratings. It's entirely garbage and towards the end of it I had a migraine. I ended up falling asleep around the scene (Spoilers if you care but honestly it's so predictable who cares) where the babysitter is under the car. The special effects are bad. The characters are obnoxious. The "plot" is predictable and boring and full of holes. I think this movie was made for 12 year olds or people who have the mentality and enjoy the same humor as 12 year olds. I can't imagine who else this movie was made for. Just watch the trailer, you'lll get about the same enjoyment from that as you would from the entire movie. Spare yourself and don't watch this. I hate to use the word "cringe" but I can't think of a better descriptor of this movie. Absolute soul sucking cringe. Yuck. I hardly write reviews but this movie deserved less than one star. Ugh.
