[SPOILERS!!!] For the kids it's a good pick. Me and my family had a ton of fun watching it! As a Garfield fan though, whose been reading the comics since I was little and fixated on it for a long time, it doesn't really feel like a Garfield movie to me. Garfield riding with a hoard of Italian delivery drones to fight a British cat trying to sabotage Garf's dad because he abandoned her on a milk heist doesn't feel much like something that would happen in the comic. Odie being way smarter than Garfield and not super oblivious and stupid doesn't feel like Garfield. Garfield's father even being there in the first place, let alone this having a family moral to it doesn't feel like Garfield. Or this kind of family moral to it, anyways. I kind of wish it had circled more around Garfield, Jon, and Odie, because they're the sort of family we see in the comic. I think taking some of the conflicts that lasted more than one strip (like that one time Garfield ended up at the pound for example) would've been a little better to go maybe? Like Jon entering Garfield into a cat show. I still like some of the jokes in it though and the animation's really cool. I think an animated Garfield movie was way better than the older Garfield movies with CGI-ed Garfield. Nonetheless, at least that movie had a more fitting voice actor for the tabby. I'll give them that. Bill Murray was a pretty good choice, cause he could actually sound lazy and apathetic. Chris Pratt is energetic and super expressive, leave him to characters that act like that too and either find a celebrity that can do a voice like that, or find an actual voice actor trained to do this stuff.

By far one of Disney's best movies tbh. It's really funny but is also super sad at certain points-- like I can't watch this movie without crying genuine tears and just feeling the stress the characters, especially Nani, experience. Oh, and not only will the kids like it but parents will to :). It's good at going about more mature topics, heck part of the plot of this movie is Nani trying to keep Lilo from being taken away by the authorities for a more suitable guardian, stuff like that. On a lighter note, yeah this movie is really funny. I'm pretty sure the backgrounds are water painted or something, which is cool as heck. This movie is so pretty, I love it being set on Hawaii, and then there are the aliens and space tech and sci-fi element of it and it's just such a cool mashup of things. Then there's also the theme of family. It's done super well and it isn't just "family members realize that they have things in common" or "family member realizes other family member has done this or that for them" it's more like how you'll always be accepted by your family, wether or not it's the one you're related too. One that's got to stick together and not leave each other behind, which is brought up again and again by some good intertwining of Hawaiian morals, with the Ohana thing. Even in the later movies (which aren't rlly as good but I still enjoy them), they highlight how Hawaiians will call each other cousins, like they're all family. TL;DR: Good for both parents and kids to watch, really good at pulling at your heartstrings, really funny, and just somewhere in the ball park of perfect to me.

Man, I wish I could give this movie six stars. But I'm also super biased about this movie-- whatever the case its an awesome movie, and if you're a parent looking for movies to show your kids that you won't get bored of I think you'll like this one. It's a really good blend of Italian culture, mythology revolving around sea monsters, friendship, acceptance, just really feel-good kind of. Definitely has its darker parts but nothing super scary! It's visually extremely beautiful, the story is a little of a common one but I think the characters still make it super enjoyable, the voice acting is good, and to me everything about this movie just feels perfect for some reason. It's simple and it doesn't try to be all over the place to entertain you because the characters do that on their own. If you're interested in this at all, definitely try to watch it if you can.

This, THIS is how you do a soft reboot -- for the most part. If there's anything I would like this show to improve on in the future is putting a little more focus on the Ninja. They're still there, yes, and they're going to stay, yes -- not to mention that this is next gen, so of course they're going to fade to the background, but in certain regards they're fading too fast. Aside from that, I really love it! It feels very new and fresh, and is expanding upon so many interesting concepts of the universe Ninjago resides in. There's so much new diversity, and the new characters mingle extremely well with the older ones, and with each other. It's also super colorful and shiny and the animation is probably at it's best!! Would recommend, as a fan.

Lord, this is such a classic. Literally one of my favorites. It’s witty and well written, navigating the holidays of a little boy, Ralphie, in the 30s. It well emulates what it was like while giving the setting its own character based on Ralphie’s life and his perspective. We need more Christmas movies like this, just generally. It ages well honestly, despite being gen z I still relate. It’s just really that good. “Fra-gee-lay — I think it’s Italian.” “It’s fragile.”

Great action, lots of suspense, fun characters and intriguing growth and development for them, neat villains if not honestly kinda AWESOME. A killer theme song. It does get fairly dark, especially those earlier seasons I feel. Not to mention seasons 8-10. Major character death. And this one scene in the thirteenth season depicting someone’s terminally ill mother. Although death and terminal illness are things all kids are going to encounter eventually, and I feel like Ninjago handles it maturely.

Underrated as all heck, and where bathroom humor works. Not only that, but a lot of other good jokes that seem like the ones kids would make, but go perfectly. Like the sock puppet scene where they get attacked by robots. It's just hilarious. And I love George and Harold's friendship. There's never any misunderstanding, just talking things out and be honest with each other. It's a great dynamic, and they work together well as they try to hide the nearly-naked abomination (Oh gosh that sounds weird) that they create after messing around with the hypnosis ring. It's great, go check it out!

You can't hate this movie, it's honestly one of the best film adaptations of all time. It stays true to the original and makes tons of good references to parts of the Peanuts' history (Examples: Shermy referring to Charlie Brown saying "I saw him first!" referencing the first ever Peanuts comic where he in fact does see him first, or Violet and Frieda handing Charlie Brown a comic called 'Sparky' seconds later in that same scene, that being a real comic that directly inspired Schulz's nickname: Sparky.) There's an abundance of great and clever comedy, and a good 'Be yourself' moral, with the little red hair girl Charlie Brown is crushing on pointing out the great things he did staying true to himself. Snoopy is awesome, the best of the best as always. Though if I had to give one complaint it would be the jarring switches between Charlie Brown's story and Snoopy's, but at least that tells you how well you get sucked into both. It's a beautiful and inspiring tribute to Schulz, and I think he would love it. (Other than the fact that he always hated the name Peanuts for the strip, this being the first film where the name was used, LOL)

Crazy, and in every prospect good! I kinda wanna lower this to a 4.8, but I can’t quite do that, right? It’s mostly just over the question of breaking the canon. How do you know it can be vary? Aside from that, this is hilarious, lots of good jokes and references, lots of good emotional value, stunning animation, lots of well represented diversity, and it did what it wanted to accomplish really well!
