I didn't know much about Phyllis Schlafly before watching the series but regardless, it gave me a broader understanding of the Equal Right Amendment and how we got to the Godless and chaotic society we have today. It all started innocently enough with "allowing us" women to work, like we really wanted that. It sounds like Ms. Schlafly was a bit egotistical and while I have no reason to think otherwise, she was on point on what could happen if and when such amendment passed

I like how it portrays aspects of Bolivar's love life you normally don't see in history books. However, I don't like the fact that all the actors are Colombian and speak with a Colombian accent because he was in fact, Venezuelan.

Sex and the City left a void in the women's show category over 10 years ago. Now we have a more modern twist with the addition of lesbian and mixed race couples to the equation. Anna isn't nearly as glamorous as Carrie Bradshaw which keeps it a bit more real. After all, how many of us can go around splurging $700 for a pair of Manolos?
