This movie did incorporate cool angles and camera transitions and had aspects of comics and video games, which is interesting, and I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been done before, or at least to this extent. Although it had some cool parts, the all around movie was terrible. The reason being, the video game and comic additions in the film breaks the immersion, and doesn’t fit in a movie format. The hair on a lot of the characters had horrible haircuts, or very obvious wigs, Such as on Ramona Flowers. She had dyed hair, with two portions of hair much longer in the front. Her hair was inconsistent, she dyed her hair three times in the movie, and the front strands seemed to get thinner and thinner towards the end of the movie, her green wig looking like only a few strands. As for her dying her hair so much, in reality it would cost a large amount of money, and it would immensely damage her hair. An important thing is the fact that our main character, who is 22, dated a seventeen year old. That fact alone makes it pretty bad. He cheated on both his new girlfriend and his seventeen year old child girlfriend, and at the end they both didn’t care. All because he defeated the evil exes. This is very unrealistic, as i don't think that should go unnoticed. The whole thing was based off a guy fighting his new girlfriend's exes, which is an uninteresting plot, and confusing too. The battles, although well made, were weird and made no sense with the powers or how their heath worked. The dance scenes, the bursting into song and weird looking characters all added up and made it terriblely weird and cringy. This movie sucked.
