Show pacing is pretty suitable for a show that's targeted for kids. Actions and tense situations are well thought out and planned for the characters individually but there were some actions done especially by the adults in the show that seemed to unrealistic and downright inhumane(e.g eddie & the guard in the boat at episode 8). But one thing I despise out of this show is KENJI. what was suppose to be his character development for the later few episodes turned to be a joke because of his obnoxious attitude towards everyone in the group. You honestly can't help it but to wish he already gets eaten by a dinosaur already in every episode. But I get it the target audience here are kids. But man I cannot stand him everytime he's shown on screen. Every second it's just pure insanity and life questioning decisions from the writers to include such a horrible character. Not to mention Ben too but i agree that many people do find him charming at times.
