I watched the show because a friend told me the MC would have a crazy character development at the end and kill everyone.
I was intrigued, only to run into a cry baby idiot Shinji. I personally didn’t like most of the cast. The story itself was more interesting about Lilith and Adam. However, I also dig the deeper meaning behind the show as a whole. I related to pretty much all the cast to a certain level but damn I was not completely a cry baby or a doll who just takes orders. But I think the message can be applied to anyone in any mental condition. You just have to accept reality as it is and yourself as you otherwise the cycle will repeat which is what The End of Evangelion focus on. Overall there’s a lot going on so I suggest you watched the last 4-6 episodes twice.
