Jack Holt – Google

This is not a rom com. It’s a very lighthearted romance movie not a comedy. In Anne Hathaway’s deft hands this movie works beautifully despite what would be a flimsy premise. After watching every project Nicholas Galatzine has done, he could have chemistry with a lamppost, and he brings a great nuance to the character. It’s well written, well acted and very sweet without being sappy. I really enjoyed it.

This is way too much of a mediocre thing. Self indulgent to a fault (and listen she deserves to make any type of art she wants. She's more than earned her right) Most of the songs sound so similar they just get monotonous. At least when a synth gets thrown in there's something to break up the next piano or acoustic guitar drone. And the "surprise" songs sound like true throwaways that shouldn't have made the cut (which is rare for Taylor). I'll stick to the original 17 album tracks and give a very good listen to the lyrics. I'm sure I'll be blown away by some of the songwriting. Sonically it's not going to do it for me. Team Beyonce for AOTY.

I’ve always listened intently Beyoncé’s work and loved several of her songs. This. Is a completely different level of brilliance. I’ve never felt that Beyoncé was “robbed” when she lost the Grammy for AOTY. Other albums those years were a bit better for various reasons. This, however, is a landmark album. Taylor and Billie have albums on the way. Not this year ladies. It’s literally impossible to make a better, more culturally important album than Cowboy Carter. It’s her masterpiece.

I am sure this was the cathartic album that Kelly needed to make. That doesn’t mean it’s the album she should have released. There’s no doubt that the maturity in her writing and delivery is palpable. The songs just sound way too alike. It’s a dirge musically, so much that I struggled to care about the lyrics. There’s clearly no standout single here and if she included the good bad and ugly of relationships…somebody tell me where I can find some good. I am happy she got this out. I hope we get a more catchy, exciting album next and I hope it’s not six or seven years

This is an exquisite show. Unlike Bridgerton, this story is about the actual King and Queen of England not fictional people, so suspend the history you may know, as this is a very fictionalized version (i.e. enjoy it...it portrays the essence of the history). Corey Mylchreest stands out with a charming, heartbreaking and near perfect performance as King George III. (Isn't it time for some Emmy love for Bridgerton?) Crafting the backstory behind Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury is such an enhancement to the show as is addressing the racial diversity we love about Bridgerton. I think this is my favorite of the three so far. Not a "happily ever after" love story, but a story about the endurance of great love.

This show is a conundrum. As pure entertainment, I enjoyed it. The writing was clever and, of course, Julia Garner was fantastic. The issue is that the show wants to simultaneously shock you with Anna's horrible, criminal behavior while also preaching about how "men get away with it all the time". Nope. That false equivocation ramps up towards the end, and left me scratching my head at how everyone is somehow sucked into the most unlikeable character ever written. If you overthink it (which is hard not to given how it's written) it's beyond impossible to believe.
