Very well acted. Shows his childhood and life during his formative years, as well as his Hollywood period, and how he got involved in politics before moving on to showing well known historical events.

Sums up the modern Saudi culture. I have been to the Kingdom there almost two dozen times over the past three decades. The movie brings out the contradictions that constitute the culture and social mores of the Kingdom very well. One of Tom Hanks best films.

Very depressing. But such is the life of those who join the submarine service. The true story was brought to life in the movie to the extent that I felt like I was in the sunken sub with the doomed crew. A great film about a very tragic tale.

Absolutely incredible. I saw it in my late teens in a drive-in with my family. The dialogue was impossible to forget. And so was the carnage on the battlefield. Very few movies make such an impact on me.
