Probably the biggest let down for me not only as a Hardy fan boy, but as a movie collector. Hardy has committed and accomplished what was asked of him, however I can only think he needed a step away from blockbusters or was doing a friend a favour.
From midway I couldn’t even see Capone, all I saw was Tom Hardy doing a director or writer a favour, and we know that would not have been his intention, Tom being Tom.
It’s a bit Bronson esc, and will sit in my library of Hardy movies getting the odd dust off, maybe in another 15 years or so.
