I absolutely loved this movie!!! I cried several times. So many messages in it. Anxiety has been a big thing in my life the last few years and I allowed it to take over, almost causing me a breakdown. Although it’s fiction, I loved seeing how Joy is what pulls Riley back to who she was are at her core. I also loved how it showed how all emotions are needed to balance us. I could go on and on about this movie. I think I need to see it again because I’m sure I missed a few more important nuggets.

When it first came out I was of the mindset that this was a blasphemous movie and refused to see it but it was quite opposite! I’m surprised to say that I really liked it! There is a lot to unpack and so many nuggets in the movie… Jesus and the people are of African descent, the personal journey between unbelief vs belief/knowing vs faith, false idols walk among us, choices, redemption, etc. It took nothing away from the Bible plot or the divinity of Jesus. It just added Clarence’s story that runs concurrent with the story of Jesus and how they intertwined. It encompassed nice humor! Although it was set in Jerusalem in 33AD, the humor made it feel like it was happening in present day. The soundtrack was amazing! Cinematography was excellent!

I read a FB review about the movie that simply shouted out my alma mater (Michigan State University, Go Green!! Go White!!💚🤍) which then intrigued me to watch it. I then went online to read reviews and most gave it terrible reviews. Well, I watched it for myself…Great movie! Loved the satire!!!!! I chuckled throughout the whole movie. Makes you think about today’s current affairs (nepotism, big business, social media, news networks, politics, etc.) and how even living and dying has become political 🙄. We are so oblivious to what’s right in front of us. Great acting!

I absolutely loved this movie! Critics are trying to make this more than what it was meant to be and nit pick everything. Or maybe they just hate LeBron James. It’s a kid friendly movie. Let it be the WB work of art it is. It wasn’t bad at all. It was nostalgic for me. Loved the music! Family friendly! Great seeing the characters created in the 1930s brought into the 2020s and ALL of the other WB characters over time! Loved the graphics/visual effects and how it was relevant to current times (video games)! Although it didn’t take place in “Space” I like the spin of going into the gaming-verse/internet. If you’re looking for the original Space Jam, you won’t see it and that’s what I loved. LeBron isn’t an actor but he played the character well. I will watch this again and again! My sons who are 9, 7, and 5 LOVED IT! Great job Warner Brothers! Great job Malcolm Lee and Ryan Coogler!
