A solid game, but doesn't live up to the greatness of Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger. The three-stories combining into one final chapter is interesting, and the Mantra system is unlike anything else released (at the time)...very fun an interesting to experiment with. A very challenging game, this title definitely doesn't hold your hand, nor does it allow you to stock up items to be able to power through - doing so requires finesse and analysis of the enemies, which Mantras will work on them, where your characters are placed, etc. Definitely a more active RPG than others from the era.
