I really admire the way the crew put effort onto the story, the cinematography, action scenes, the aesthetic, diverse cast (like the jiamese), architecture heck, even the horses - it's utterly brilliant! Even the opening song has carved a special place in me. At first I thought there was something different with the charisma of the cast of which I found most of them to be in their 30's! I'm not too much familiar with chinese actors since i'm a passive c drama viewer. These actors are no joke, I find it to be a very good casting as each character the actors portray really magnetizes you with their own appeal. I can't describe enough how I really love the characters, the story, overall the drama itself. And dramas that linger inside your mind even after a while really tell you how much it has made it's objectives through the audience (life lessons, romance and all). More power to C - drama!

I adored the first version Nigeru wa haji daga yaku ni tatsu very much and immediately clicked the similarities of this to it. I'm really amazed on how this is a very great modified version (unlike the Korean version of The liar and the lover) that highlighted more things that the Japanese version didn't and made things less serious and more adorable and loveable to watch on the right places where I can relate to even more. loved Lee Min Ki from monsters and Somin from father is strange, so watching them both from this is a plus after a try. I didn't even want to but it has earned my respect.
